I travel because I love food, shopping, art, history, culture, outdoor adventures, sightseeing, relaxing on beaches, trekking mountains, rebuilding areas, volunteering, teaching children in need, service, living with a host family, learning new languages, and meeting new people. All these aspects of travel have given me a better understanding of the world around me. Traveling has helped me grow by pushing me to go outside my comfort zone and to recognize my own beliefs and cultural values. I deal and communicate with people from different backgrounds in an open way, so I can gain a greater understanding of different cultural norms, expectations, and practices, build my intercultural skills and develop a global perspective on the world.
